Kathy Gordon started playing guitar, singing and writing music in the early ‘70s. She performed in a singer/songwriter duet in venues around Houston and eventually ventured out to perform with local cover bands. She performed songs in a variety of genres before co-founding and writing for a Houston based original rock band. In 1984, Kathy moved to Austin, Texas, and became involved in some music projects. She founded a new group showcasing her original music which she described as “country – with an edge.”
Currently, Kathy lives in East Texas and is writing Christian and country music. She is Director of A&R for Outbound Music internet radio stations. She still plays small venues and events on occasion, though her real passion is writing. Today, she prefers to create songs for other artists.
